Bird Hunting

Bird Hunt ThumbnailQuail, Pheasant, and Chuckar are hunted on a put and take basis. This insures a very successful hunt with good flight tendancies and healthy, good tasting birds. Planted grain fields, meadows, and rolling hills provide a very natural habitat for the birds and enjoyable hunting for the dogs and hunters. This natural terrain makes it very common for missed birds to live unmanaged on the Ranch adding to the overall experience of the day.

Flushed Pheasant Hunt

Ideal for groups of 6 to 8 hunters. We will station the shooters in natural blinds around a ravine from which we will flush 50 to 60 pheasant. After the last of the birds have flown we will break up into two groups and use the dogs to clean up the birds that made it into the fields. The hunters can also expect good quail shooting from the coveys that occupy the same fields that the pheasant retreat to. The hunt starts at 8:30am with breakfast and wraps up at 1:00pm with lunch, with plenty of action in between.
